1. What is EUFams II?
EUFams II is a study on European private international law in family and succession matters conducted by academic institutions from various EU-Member States and co-funded by the European Commission. The project’s objective is to assess the functioning and the effectiveness of the framework of international and European family law, detect potential problems and propose possible improvements. Ultimately, it aims to develop a common European expertise and understanding to secure the uniform, coherent and consistent application of European family law, so as to facilitate the cross-border movement of persons within the EU.
2. What is the objective of this questionnaire?
This questionnaire constitutes the first stage of the EUFams II-study. It aims to explore the experiences of experts in the field of international and European family law and gain insights into some of the difficulties they may be facing in their daily professional life. On the basis of the findings of this questionnaire, national and international seminars will be conducted in which some of the topics identified will be dealt with more extensively.
3. Data protection
This questionnaire will be conducted anonymously. Data will be collected for scientific purposes only and processed in full conformity with data protection legislation.
Depending on the scope of your professional activities and your personal experience with European family law, you will be asked between 10 and 42 questions. The completion of the questionnaire will take between 5 and 15 minutes.
